Our Order Guide provides all the information you need to help you put your order request together. When you’re ready, head over to the Order Request page and fill out the Custom Order Request Form.

  • Custom Order Timeline

    *For order info specific to wedding cakes, please see the Wedding Order Information section at the end of this guide.

    A 2-week minimum notice is required to book a custom order with Fig & Lyle’s. The more notice we have, the higher the likelihood of accommodating your request. We are regularly booked out several weeks in advance, so we cannot guarantee availability at the time of your order.

    If you have submitted a Custom Order Request Form and have not heard back from us within 48 hours, please contact us at figandlylesbakery@gmail.com.

    Deposit Requirement

    We require a 50% deposit on all orders of $50 or more. Deposit must be paid no later than 14 days before your order pickup/delivery date. If you cancel within 7 days of your order, you will not get your deposit back.

    Notice for Customers with Food Allergies

    Our recipes can contain peanuts, nuts, nut oils, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, produce and other food allergens. As such, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE an allergen-free environment. When ordering, please inform us if there are any food allergies or sensitivities to avoid.

    Gluten-Free Options

    Our cakes and cookies can be made gluten-free in all of our available flavors. There is an additional charge for these items as they require different baking ingredients.

    Custom Cakes
    Starting at $4 per serving

    Final price is dependent upon the chosen flavors, serving size, and complexity of design. To get the best estimate on your custom cake, please include a detailed description and/or upload a reference image(s) on your Custom Order Request Form. Note: Sculpted Cakes and Sculpted Fondant pieces vary in price.

    • Fondant Covering + $2 per serving

    • Flavored Buttercream + $0.50 per serving

    Sheet Cakes
    Starting at $3 per serving

    Sheet cakes can usually be decorated and have fillings added like tiered cakes. However, we cannot add fillings of carved sheet cakes. The minimum number of servings for a sheet cake is 15.

    Cake Toppers
    Price Varies

    We provide decorative cake toppers, including fondant topper and fondant designs sculpted by hand. Fondant will incur an additional charge per unit on your order.

    Basic: Starting at $24/dozen | Specialty: Starting at $36/dozen

    The price per cupcake will depend on the design of the cupcakes and if there are any fillings used. For custom order standard size cupcakes, please reach out to us to discuss pricing.

    Cupcake Cakes
    Cupcake pricing + Shaping Fee starting at $10

    Cupcake Cakes are cupcakes that are shaped and decorated like sheet cakes. We will try to use the number of cupcakes order to shape the cake, but the amount required varies from cake-to-cake.

    • If you order more cupcakes than needed, the extra will be sent with the cake in a separate box with your order.

    • If you order fewer cupcakes than needed, you will be charged for each additional cupcake.

    Decorated Sugar Cookies
    Starting at $5.50 each

    We can do almost any kind of decorated sugar cookie design you can think of. Price will vary depending on the icing detail, the number of colors in the design, and if cookies must be hand-cut due to the shape.

  • Based on pricing of selected desserts

    We can build you a dessert bar with any combination of treats. Dessert bars are charged by the slice and/or serving of selected dessert. We also offer smaller and bite-sized portions. We will deliver and set up dessert bars with 100 servings or more.

  • Wedding Cake Order Timeline

    A good time frame to place a order for your wedding cake is 4-6 months from your wedding date. Keep in mind that Wedding Season runs from May to October, and Fig & Lyle’s is traditionally booked up to 4 months in advance for weddings that occur from August through November.

    To avoid running the risk of not being able to order your wedding cake with us, please place your order as far in advance of your wedding as possible. And let us know if we can help you with designing the centerpiece for your special day!

    Wedding Tastings

    Each wedding tasting costs $25, and comes in a box that includes enough samples for up to two people to try. If you are doing a dessert bar, we can swap out cake, fillings, and icings for 4 standard size desserts. We only offer pickup for tasting boxes!

    Please note: Your wedding cake must have at least 100 servings to be eligible for a cake tasting. All tastings must be booked with 2 weeks advanced notice. Flavors must be selected no less than 2 weeks before your tasting, or the tasting will need to be rescheduled.

    Our cake tastings include up to 4 cake flavors, 4 fillings, and 2 icing options. Additional flavors, fillings, icings, can be added for $5 each.

    Gluten-free tasting boxes are also available for $30 each.

    Wedding Contract & Order Form

    Wedding Contract Terms & Conditions

    Payment

    Your initial 50% deposit is due 90 days before your original event date. It reserves your event date and is nonrefundable. We must receive the balance due by 30 days before your original event date or the contract is voided, we will not hold your date for you, and your deposit will not be refunded. All payments are based on your original event date, regardless of any date changes that may occur. Once full balance has been paid and it is within 30 days of your wedding date, no refunds will be given.

    Cancellations

    If you cancel your wedding prior to 30 days before the date, you deposit is non-refundable and no refund will be given. If you cancel within 30 days of the date and the final balance has been paid, no amount will be refunded.

    Date Changes

    If your original date changes, we must be given at least 30 days notice of the new date. If you give us less than 30 days notice, you will need to pay a new 50% deposit and your original deposit will not be applied to your new date. If your wedding date is moved, we cannot guarantee that we will have availability for this new date.

    Final Design

    The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of size, style, or flavors of the cake. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.

    Delivery

    Delivery is $75 for any location 10 miles or less from our bakery. For every mile over 10, we will charge an additional $5/mile.

    Rentals

    We can rent cake stands for your event for $50 refundable fee. This fee is only refundable if the stands are returned within 5 days after your event.

    Florals

    If flowers are provided by an outside source, we must have your florist’s contact information to arrange having the correct amount of flowers set aside for your cake. Any extra floral costs for decorating your cake will be your responsibility. You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, and other contaminants.

    Liabilities

    We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Fig & Lyle’s Bakery store.

    Photography Waiver

    On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.

    Allergen Statement

    Our products may contain or come into contact with peanuts, nuts, nut oils, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, produce and other food allergens. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and cross contamination can occur. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.

    Contingencies

    Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Fig & Lyle’s Bakery to complete the agreement and is subject to labor disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. If we are unable to complete this contract for any reason, you will be refunded up to 50% of your total balance.

    Your wedding date will not be secured with us until our contract is filled out, signed by both parties, and the requested deposit has been made.
